12. Multi-site Functionality with App Volumes
App Volumes has Administrative features that enhance administration and lower the workload of the administrator in a multi-site scenario where there might be more than one instance of App Volumes.
We will focus on the administrative function of replicating Packages and user Entitlements from one site to another.
In our lab environment we have two Horizon vSphere based PODS being supported by two App Volumes Managers, each with their own Microsoft SQL Database
- On your ControlCenter server
- open your Site 1 Browser
- in the Favourites Bar
- select the App Volumes shortcut
- in the App Volumes Log in
- next to Username:
- enter administrator
- next to Password
- enter VMware1!
- select Login
- next to Username:
- in the Favourites Bar
- open your Site 1 Browser
- In the App Volumes admin Console
- select the INFRASTRUCTURE tab
- under INFRASTRUCTURE
- select Storage Groups
- under Storage Groups
- select Create Storage Group
- under INFRASTRUCTURE
